Gallery: photos for your event

Gallery lets you display photos related to your event within your invitation.

It can help bring selected photos together in one place so people viewing the invitation can see them in the context of the event. Guests add the photos on the published page. In the editor you turn the gallery on and can review or remove the photos that were added.

How do I use Gallery?

1. Open your invitation editor.
2. Go to the Gallery section.
3. Turn the gallery on if the editor offers that option.
4. Save your changes if required by the interface.
5. Publish the invitation and share its link.
6. Guests add photos on the published page, using the fields shown with the gallery.
7. You can review the added photos in the editor.

Which photos should be uploaded?

Guests choose photos they intend to share with people who can access the invitation. Review the gallery after photos are added, because images may be adjusted to fit the gallery presentation.

Gallery uploads have file-size and format restrictions shown next to the relevant upload field. Review those details before adding a large number of photos.

Are photos compressed?

Photos may be optimised for web display to reduce file size and help the page load efficiently. After uploading, review the result to make sure the images still look right.

Do not assume that the web-optimised version will always look exactly like the original file stored on the device.

How long are photos stored?

Photos are stored as part of the invitation data under Digital Stories' applicable data-retention rules.

When an invitation expires, its public page becomes unavailable. This does not automatically mean that every file is deleted at that exact moment.

What if the gallery does not work?

Check that the gallery is turned on, that the photos were uploaded and that the add-on is available for your invitation.

If photos fail to upload, review the file restrictions shown beside the upload field, check your Internet connection and try again.
